What's the nerdiest/geekiest/weirdest thing about you?
Well, last night, I declined an invitation to the movies and sat home and read. That was a nerdy, geeky move. But I'd say the most geeky thing about me is how I integrate quotes into normal everyday conversations. And I keep a book full of them. It's completely geeky and I love doing it so I don't plan on stopping. I guess it's also completely geeky that I get way too happy after solving a math problem. Yeah, I'd say that takes the cake on this one.
If you could live in a fictional universe from any book, movie, or television show, what would it be?
Definitely Panem from The Hunger Games. Yes, I would love to live in a dystopian society where masses of people watch their tributes kill each other every year. That's not actually what draws me to it. It's just kind of indescribable. I just think that Panem would be really really cool to live in.

Little or big, practical or frivolous, what is one of your favorite items in your house?
My chalkboard wall. Without a doubt. I wrote an entire post about it, that's how much I love it. It's like an extension of me, with quotes and pictures and my to-do list. Certainly that is my favorite thing.
Have you ever dyed your hair?
No. I'm glad that I haven't gone for the fake blond highlights or the awkward streak of color, but I would love to dye my hair Emma Stone red. Gah, her hair's perfect.

What's your favorite book and why?
Looking for Alaska by John Green. Aw man, it's amazing. It's actually really sad, but when you put it down you feel happy/complete/content. It's super quotable (gotta love a quotable book!) And it's overall just such a great read. And no, they are not looking for the state.

i've been wanting to do a movie quote book for sooo long!!
ReplyDeleteand i always integrate movie quotes into whatever I'm saying. it gets really funny when I start saying something and i switch to a movie quote, and i laugh and say, "so yeah, anyways," and everyone stares. :)

That's so cool that you keep a quote book! I'm a quote collector too and have so many written down random places--in notebooks, tacked to my cork board, and on my blog--but it may be a good idea to get them all in one place at some point.
